What we check

Every install starts
with your panel.

An EV charger is a continuous load — it pulls full power for hours at a time. That is a very different demand from a dryer or an oven, and it is why the electrical work matters more than the box on the wall.

What we calculate before we quote

  • Panel service size — 100A, 150A, 200A or larger
  • Available breaker spaces and open circuit capacity
  • Existing continuous loads — electric range, dryer, water heater, electric heat
  • Distance from panel to parking location, and whether trenching is required
  • Whether a NEMA 14-50 outlet or a hardwired connection is the right choice
  • Indoor vs. outdoor mounting, snow clearance, and weather-rated materials

What every install includes

  • Dedicated 240V circuit sized to the charger and calculated load
  • Correct breaker for the charger's amperage
  • Permit pulled with your city — Minneapolis, St. Paul, or any suburb
  • Inspection scheduled and met on site
  • Charger mounted, terminated, torque-tested and commissioned
  • Live charging session verified, plus app walkthrough before we leave
FAQ

Service questions,
answered

Which EV charger installation service do I need?
Most Twin Cities homeowners need a Level 2 home charger installation with a dedicated 240V circuit. If you own a Tesla, the Tesla Wall Connector is usually the right choice. If you are equipping a workplace or multifamily property, you need the commercial service. Call us and describe your situation — we will tell you which service applies without a sales pitch.
Do you install chargers in every Twin Cities suburb?
Our core service area covers Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington, Edina, Minnetonka, Maple Grove, Plymouth, Eden Prairie, Richfield, Eagan, Brooklyn Park, Coon Rapids and Woodbury. We also take jobs in adjacent suburbs like Hopkins, Golden Valley, Roseville and Burnsville. If you are unsure whether we cover your area, contact us.
How long does a typical installation take?
Most residential installations finish in a single visit of four to eight hours. Attached garages on 200A panels with short runs often finish in three to five hours. Detached garages and alley runs that require trenching may extend into a second visit.
Do you handle the permit and inspection for every city?
Yes. We pull the permit with your specific city, schedule the inspection and meet the inspector on site. Each city has its own process — Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington, Edina and every suburb we serve — and we know them.
Can you install a charger I bought myself?
Yes. Send us the model number with your callback request and we will confirm the correct circuit size, breaker and mounting requirements before the visit. Installing customer-supplied equipment does not affect our workmanship warranty on the circuit.
What if my panel cannot support a Level 2 charger?
We install a smart load management device or upgrade your service to 200A. Both options keep the charger within the safe continuous-load capacity of your electrical system. We quote the upgrade separately so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
